These Summer posts are taking me a long time. Here it is the middle of Octover and I am only at the August long weekend. I'll have to pick up the pace. The answer is more photos, less writing.
This year the annual summer Rasmussen reunion was held in Airdrie, and included a day at Calaway Park, a hike at Big Hill Springs and lots of visiting. A big thank you to Stephanie and Seb for hosting. It was great time. Here we all are packed into their living room. Thanks Karen for taking the pictures.
I brought copies of this picture for everyone at thanksgiving and Nathan noticed that there were a couple of guys standing on their toes to look taller. 
Look at these cure kids! All so happy except for poor Jay.
Jackie doesn't have a girl cousin her age on the Rasmussen side. Since the reunion was in Airdrie her favourite Hudson cousin Elise came along with us. The girls had so much fun together on the Big Hill Springs Hike.
Eve only has boy cousins her age as well, but she doesn't mind at all. She loves Mason and Ethan so much. Here she is with Mason.
Jaylin and Alice are inseparable. They even dressed identical when they were at Calaway park and people thought they were twins. 
Other high lights from the weekend: we got a flat tire on the Deerfoot on our way to Airdrie on Saturday night. I was driving and it was a little scary but we found a safe place to pull over and the kids enjoyed finding special rocks in the ditch while Andrew changed the tire - he was just finishing putting in the last bolts when the AMA truck drove up. What a man. The girls and I now feel nostalgic every time we pass that spot.
