We had a great Canada day celebration! We started out making red and white hair accessories.Then we painted our nails

The girls painted flags and I painted the girls.

Eve's face says Eve loves Canada.
Me: Eve, it's Canada Day today
Eve: Yeah! Canada Day! Are we going to go to Canada then?
Clearly we have some work to do on the geography front, and also the flag painting front.
After I took the girls and the girls took their flags and we went downtown to Prince's Island Park to take in the celebration. We saw a funny magic show, got some balloon animals and had snow cones. The highlight for the girls was, as always, riding the train. It was a great day! We love our country!

I wasn't brave enough to take the girls to the fireworks - I figure it is still a bit late for them, so I taped some that were on TV and they watched them today...maybe next year they'll get the real deal.
