These pictures were taken the first day Alice slept in her new room. It has been nothing but great as far as she is concerned. She totally loves being downstairs, especially now that it is hot out. Her bedroom is always cool. She also likes having her own bathroom - I must remind myself to teach her to clean it....
It is of course to bad that I do not have a before picture - the head board used to be cream and tan striped and the walls were a sand colour. This make-over was super cheap. I only bought one can of paint and the Monet picture from Value Village. She got my old dresser. We re-upholstered the headboard and made a pillow case from fabric that I had bought last year for the play room. The duvet cover is our old brown one, reversed to show the cream side. We just need to put up a shelf and finish her bulletin board that we are making out of an old frame I picked up from a garage sale while we were living in Edmonton. So fun.
