Mom, This is really bad for me, but I LOVE it".
Don't I know how that goes. Anyway, I put the batter in the pan and ( because I know how it is) I gave Eve the spoon to lick and put the pan in the oven. Eve, having finished the spoon, asked for the bowl. She was already covered in chocolate and had dropped a bunch of chocolate on the floor. I didn't know how much she had eaten before I got there ( there was a little less brownie batter that usual) so I said, " No, honey, you've had enough, and look at all the chocolate you dropped on the floor. What a mess".
I put the bowl in the sink and filled it with water and got a rag to clean the floor and turned around to find Eve in downward facing dog, licking the floor.
I should have known really. You all saw that coming, didn't you?

This post made me miss Eve so much! I can just picture her in downward dog - hilarious! Tell Alice I'm very proud of her for making brownies. The first time I tried to make gingersnaps with my sister, I think I was about 10. We couldn't find cinnamon, and me, being the stubborn gal I am said that Cumin was the shortened term for Cinnamon. Even my sister Rachel thought that was funny.
Needless to say, those were some BAD gingersnaps. Lesson learned: Labels don't list any shorthand nicknames for spices. Cinnamon will always say Cinnamon.
