Girls day out

Last Friday the girls had the day off school for parent teacher conference. We went and visited Karen, Elise, Audrey and Chase in Airdrie and Karen took these cute pictures of the girls.

It was a fun and eventful day. After the photo shoot I was visiting with Karen and the girls kept running in from the back yard to fill up teapots with water. Not to worry though, Jackie said "we are watering the ground - but the ground outside, not the ground inside". They were making a full on mud pie and were so muddy that Jackie and Elise needed a bath and complete change of clothes ( thanks for lending Jackie a dress Elise - Karen sorry about the state of the bathtub afterwards).

I then took all the girls ( yes 5) out to lunch at McDonald's play place while Karen took Chase for his shots. We then couldn't resist checking out the new Cross Iron Mills mall - where we promptly lost Audrey (she was only out of the stroller for a second) called security and found her 10 minutes later at the other end of the mall! We only told Karen about it when she was found. Audrey was fine, Elise wasn't too concerned but did say, "Maybe someone stole her and took her to her house and we will never see her again". Alice cried like crazy and we all prayed. And when she was found Jackie said, " We found her because I prayed. and Elise said, "We found her because I prayed. "We said a prayer of thanks when we had her back and all the big girls cried. Audrey really didn't understand what all the fuss was about. She is a scallywag and we love her so much. I was so relieved to have her back I wanted to get everyone a treat and luckily we were just outside a candy store - and walked towards it only to realize that it was a candy store dedicated to pet treats. Instead we bought some overpriced mini cupcakes and some cute girly acessories (what else do you get on a girls day at the mall?) It was a fun day . It always is with cousin's like ours. I wish I had some pictures of Audry and Elise, but here are some of the picture of our girls at the the photo shoot. Thanks Karen - as always, the pictures are adorable - and I say that as a completely unbiased critic.
Eve would only sit still when she had chocolate chips in her mouth - but you can't really tell in this shot.
Alice smiled with her mouth closed during her school photo this last week. She wouldn't mind having her teeth all grow in - but I like this grade 2 mouth.

Eve has upgraded to the big kid swing. She yells and yells to go "more high". If I don't push her high, she kicks her legs in a tantrum and starts to fall off. When I do push her high, she screams to go "more high" until all fo a sudden it is "too high" the she wants off NOW.

Jackie loves to pose for pictures. This one was taken on the roof of the play house. I love how she looks in her sweater dress, though at first I was disappointed to not find her a brown one. Now I like the grey - it makes her eyes looks kind of grey. She has chameleon eyes like me.

Eve likes doing scary faces. She loves pretending to be a monster. Her sound effects are pretty good. I like how in this picture Jackie's all " Eve is coo coo" and Alice is just discusted.

Acckkkk! How scary losing her in the mall! That's a big mall! But all's well that ends well, right? :) Your girls are so adorable in their pictures, I love them all! Are you going to have a huge wall of them all framed in your house? It would be hard to pick just one.
