Accents

It is crazy hot for September. Today, after I picked up a sweaty Jackie from the bus, I let her go to the corner store for something cool. She picked a Slurpee to share with Eve.

Me:"Maybe you and Eve can run through the sprinkler this afternoon to cool off"
Jackie: ( in a strong southern accent, cradling her Slurpee) "I've already got my baby to keep me cool"

After lunch she came into the kitchen, wearing my Agrium employee tag. She said in a very stiff English accent, " Mother is just home from work".

She is a card. Wonder what she will choose to be for her costume party on Saturday.
