When I grow up

On the way home from preschool today.

"If I become a veterinarian when I grow up it would be great because I could help animals, Then if a kitty is sick I can help it. (Jackie loves kitties).But I would never see Daddy, because he HATES all animals and will never had any pets. (Pause)But it might be ok because I could probably see him on my day off."

Somehow I thought it funny that Jackie had a concept of day off.

They have been learning about different people in the community this in preschool this month. Jackie was very impressed with the idea of helping kitties, was not impressed with the concept of being a firefighter (too scary),or mail carrier ( a little bit boring) but enjoyed the idea of becoming a police girl, so she could "Help people and have a gun". They still have banker and Dentist to learn about. This just shows that school does broader your horizen's, because none of these ideas are dancers, movie stars or princesses.
