It's that time of year again...

It's back to school, and the best thing about that, is back to school clothes. Here is our annual back to school fashion show and photo shoot. All I can say is that I am blessed ( or cursed) with three girls that LOVE to shop and try on clothes. Even Eve, though so far we have been able to convince her that nothing she finds in the store is half as cute as the clothes she buys from the tote in the basement. All of Eve's looks are 100% Hand me downs. Jackie's are a mix, and lucky Alice gets everything new.

Funny story: Alice begged for a faux leather Jacket. I bought it for her but kept the tag on. Later she begged for a new back pack. I told her she could get one, but she would have take back the jacket. She was fine with that. Jackie cried. And why was she crying, "because I was really looking forward to growing in to that jacket. It is so nice". Bless her heart that she didn't think to just beg for one her size.

And now, for this years looks.




This is Alice's favourite outfit and the one she will be wearing tomorrow, complete with the lacy scarf. She is a girl who dreads getting up in front of people, but loves to make a splash with her clothes. I used to wear a scarf or too, back in the day, so I understand who great they feel. I just hope she doesn't choke on the playground.

Alice loves this all black ensemble. She feels like the rock star - which is what she is planning on being for Halloween.

This is the first year that Alice has agreed to buy jeans. She is sacrificing a bit of comfort for style. I knew it had to happen sooner or later and I am glad. She looks so grown up in her skinny jeans.

This one is my favourite. When she tried it on I was scared to say anything. I just asked her what she thought, and she said she loved it, and then stared at herself int he mirror forever.

Last minute addition. I love that shirts are so long now. And this season for Alice, purple is the new turquoise.

Jackie is a natural model. This outfit is from the basement store. After only wearing skirts for the first 4 years of her life, then swearing off skirts for her 5th year, she has made peace with them again. I love her in brown.

Jackie: This shirt says cup cakes rock, and so it totally goes with these black jeans, because they TOTALLY ROCK!

I love Jackie's cute little legs in leggings.

And these little jeans are the first pants in Jackie's life to fit her little bum. What's even better is they have silver sequins down the side and came with a sparkly sash for a belt. Paired with a hot pink top with a Kitty on it with gold and silver accents and you just know that this is Jackie's heaven sent perfect outfit for that important first day of grade 1.

Maybe I should get a pair of pants that fit Eve - but who would grow in to them when she was done with them?
