Getting Ready for Summer

With the weather finally warming up we are busy getting set for summer. We bought Alice some t-shirts and some sandals and even a "new to us" two wheeler without training wheels that she is learning to ride. We have started pulling out the summer clothes and it is crazy how much Jackie has grown this year. (she continues to be in the 75th percentile for height - my one chance at at a tall girl!). We've made it out to the garden and cleared away all the leaves that fell after the snow came and were excited to find bulbs sprouting - they are probably the shortest tulips you've ever seen but they are sure pretty. The kids have been outside everyday with chalk and bubbles. It is sooo great.

Just in case the weather isn't as nice wherever you are, I thought I'd share some summer related Jackie isms to brighten your day.

Jackie while trying on the new swimsuit Grandma bought her at Target over her tights.

"Oh I wish these tights were water proof because they look soooo good with this new swimsuit."

Jackie while examining the skinned knee she got from falling off her bike.

With a whimper in her voice, "oh, my knee hurts so much, I hope it heals quickly, ( then without any sort of whimper) But I hope it doesn't heal before tomorrow because I want to show Logan."

The girls have been practicing for camp outs, by building tents and forts every chance they get.

Wow those forts look like a lot of fun!! So cute that she wanted to let Logan know about her knee.
