Desperate for an Egg Hunt

Glad Andrew had the fore sight to take some pictures of the egg hunt. I confess, I slept through most of it. The kids were soo excited for the Easter to arrive they eagerly went to bed early. Good thing, since Alice woke up at 1:00 to excitedly announce the Easter Bunny had already come - she had found some eggs in her room. Andrew rolled over and said " she gets that from you" and went back to sleep. Eve woke up at 3:00 (teething I think). Alice came into our room again at 4:00, asking if she could wake up Jackie now, " Not until you see the sun!". Jackie finally woke up at 6:30 to She and Alice went to it.
Alice and Jackie went and found most of the eggs on their own. They only needed a little direction. They then thoughtfully re hid some for Eve and had a lot of fun helping her find eggs. Hiding eggs has since become a favourite game. I love how this picture shows the perfect diagonal line of their height difference.
It is a little scary that Alice gets as excited about Easter chocolate as she does about Christmas. I think we will be welcoming her to the diabetic club one day. In our family the kids that can't sleep on exciting holidays and go crazy for sweets all seem to end up in the diabetic club. Tragic irony

I know what you mean by when your kids are so excited. We had kids in our room pretty early asking every 5 minutes if they could go hunt for eggs!! Easter is so much fun. I love that picture too with the height difference of your kids.
