Conference Weekend

I love conference weekend. It is so uplefting and so relaxing, it always feels like a mini vacation. The year was fantastice because Andrew and I got to watch most of each of the sessions, and the older kids were with us happily colouring and working in there their conference quiet books ( thanks Cara!) Eve had the good sense to sleep through half the sessions which meant I could actually focus on the talks. My favourites were Elder Scott's on Temples and Elder Holland's on the Atonement.

Andrew and I have a tradition of ordering pizza between the Saturday morning and afternoon sessions, which we did this year - So after the Saturday morning session I went and worked out and then picked up the pizza! (I worked extra hard so I could eat it with as little guilt as possible). Another highlight was having a girls night at Grandma's when the guys were at Priesthood on Saturday night. A girls night + the cutest baby boy in the history of the WORLD ( 4 month old baby Chase)!

And to top it all off the weather is finally acting like spring, so the girls and I went for a walk in fishcreek park between sessions today. So great!

I agree, it definitely feels like a mini vacation! I even popped popcorn and we sat around like we were watching movies! Emberly actually even enjoyed it this year, she packed her backpack full of all kinds of quiet activities and snacks and just sat and entertained herself. And we discovered Gavin can be entertained for nearly 45 minutes with a set of easy puzzles, he loves them! So all in all, a very good weekend!
