Christmas in March

Spring break had more break than spring this year, but we had fun regardless. I'll try to post more about it later since we have tons of pictures taken with my brand new camera ( thanks Andrew for the great birthday gift!). I'll start with these photos from last Monday when Andrew and the girls made snowman replicas of Alice, Jackie and Evie. Above is little snow Evie ( real Evie was too cold to pose with her with her snowy counterpart).

Below is Jackie and her snowy Twin. Jackie had croup on Friday and Saturday. She made a remarkable recovery on Sunday and was able to go to church and do her first talk. She felt great on Monday but got really sick on Tuesday and had a cough and a fever for most of the week. She hardly ate anything, consequently her arms began to resemble her snowman's a little too closely. She is feeling better now and it is so great to see her finishing all of her supper again.

Alice, and Snowy Alice, are all smiles in the picture below and Alice was all smiles for most of the week. Though she was a little disappointed when she learned that spring break wasn't summer vacation. Alice did a great job of entertaining herself when Jackie was too sick to play and was a great help as usual. She played a couple of games of Defenders of Catan with Andrew and I and even stayed on my team when I was losing horribly. I won the next time we played, but tragically Alice didn't join us that game. The next time we played, Andrew won and Alice deserted me to join the winning team....even though that time it was close!

Dancing is still a favourite activity at our house. The snow had the girls in a festive mood. Evie doesn't usually fall as often as she does in this video. It must be because of her one oversized sock.
