Nature vs. Nurture

I love when my children demonstrate their personalities - and it is totally them - not something that I have taught them. Here is an example I ran across while I was cleaning Alice's room. It is a plan she made for a craft.
Here is the finished craft. There were some slight variations from the original plan, but Alice was happy with it.Now I ask you - nature or nurture? Well, all I can say is that in my entire life, I have never made a plan for a craft - even when a plan would really be a good idea. I certainly have never made a plan of something just for fun. She didn't learn this from me and I'm the one that does crafts with her.
No, this is just how her mind works. She has inherited this kind of careful planning from her dad. Lucky thing - she'll be naturally organized.
Her creative spelling ability on the other hand - that I can take credit for.

Hilarious! You're right....there are some things that are just part of them. Allen and I often have the "that is your fault" discussions when our kids do things that we couldn't have taught them, but are things that we do too :0)

I am so intrigued by this - making a plan for the craft? I would never make a craft for fun let alone plan the craft for fun. Why not just imagine the craft? Such a delightful post and a wonderful girl!

That is awesome! Maybe she'll be some sort of designer, she'd make a great architect, drawing out all those building plans! :) Emberly's a list maker, oh and charts! She'll do almost anything if it's on a list or a chart!

That is so great! Now if I could just do a little planning myself...
