Technology

This week I have found myself longing for a simpler time. A time without the modern conveniences of technology. This is because so much of the technology around me IS NOT WORKING RIGHT! In the last few weeks:

  1. The lights stopped working on the car,
  2. I found out the camera was broken
  3. My cell phone completely froze up
  4. The computer refused to connect to the Internet
  5. The dish washer broke
  6. The garage door opener no longer closes the garage

All this has given Andrew the chance to use his super fixing powers. He fixed the dishwasher last night (by unclogging one of the hoses that had some really gross things in it). He fixed the lights on the car the night before (an electrical problem.) He suggested bed rest for my sick phone - and although I was skeptical, it did start working again after charging for a couple days. He had some techniques for getting the Internet to work, but they never worked for me when he wasn't around - so I took matters into my own hands. After being on the phone with Rogers for a half hour, I found out the Internet problem was not the router, the cable, or the modem, but our old computer. I am currently connecting on my lab top. I think Andrew will be able to fix the garage door opener on the weekend ( that is if my decision to start calling it a "garage door opener and closer" doesn't fix it first - I think it just wants so more respect). Sadly, I think the camera must be taken in to the Sony store. Home remedies only go so far. For somethings, you just have to go to the doctor. Lets hope the problem isn't terminal.

You never know how much you appreciate something until it is gone and then it is unbelievably annoying. So is the church talk about gratitude or patience?
